Both historical monuments are of the same era of 15th century and situated in Aravali mountain Range.

Khumbhalgarh

Kumbhalgarh is a well known fort of Rajasthan with its 36 kilometer long protection wall. This fort is built by maharaja kumbha, the ruler of Mewar [chhitorgarh] in 1459 Ad. Kumbhalgarh fort standing majestically on 1180 meter the sea level is known for panoramic view of the Aravali mountain and country side from the top. It is also known for fascinating architecture.

Ranakpur

Ranakpur Jain temple is situated in the lap of Aravali Mountains, surrounded by lush green hills. The construction commenced by Dharanshah in 15th century. It is known for the largest and most important temples of the Jain cult. This temple is famous for its fine carving on white marble and ancient temple architecture. It has 1444 pillars and built on a huge platform.
